
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)
PRP Counselors provide behavioral and social modification services aimed to improve daily functioning for both children and adults who have a variety of mental health diagnoses. Counselors provide interventions one-on-one, in peer group settings or via community outreach activities.
PRP Counselors assist clients with learning (to list a few):
- Anger management
- Independent living skills
- Coping Skills
- Hygiene skills
- Safety Resources
- Healthy Decision Making Skills
In addition, PRP services provide linkage to entitlements or needed community resources.
PRP Counselors use interventions including:
- Strengths based modalities
- Education
- Role-play and role
- modeling
- Peer support groups
- Art activities
- Health/nutrition activities
